YOUR NEW JOB

We are now looking for a chef with operational responsibility for Renfors School's kitchen. As the person with operational responsibility, you are the heart of the operation. In this role, you cook food in the kitchen every day. You are also responsible for planning the work. You ensure that everything runs smoothly and that we follow laws and regulations. Working hours are during the day on weekdays. We strive for the school lunch to be the highlight of the day. We cook good and nutritious food from scratch for our children and young people. We are now looking for you who want to lead the daily work in our school and reception kitchens and make a difference every day. Your tasks include, among other things:

• Cook good, healthy, and balanced food for school and preschool.
• Plan menus and follow the municipality's meal policy and the Swedish Food Agency's national guidelines for meals in schools.
• Order goods and have good economic awareness.
• Be responsible for cleaning, hygiene, and self-control (HACCP).
• Reduce food waste through smart planning regarding both kitchen waste and serving waste.
• Work actively with emergency preparedness issues so that the kitchen functions even in crises or unexpected events.

YOUR COMPETENCE

We are looking for you who are a trained chef with documented experience from the profession and a good understanding of the industry. You should have previous experience of leadership in some form as well as good economic understanding. You are engaged and passionate about creating good taste experiences for our guests.

To thrive in the role, you need to be able to organize, prioritize, and structure your work. You need to be able to handle that the intensity of the work varies during the day and have the ability to make necessary prioritizations. You have good communication skills, teamwork skills, and good knowledge of the Swedish language.

REQUIREMENTS

• Chef training.
• Experience cooking in large volumes.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene.
• Good knowledge of Swedish.

For this position, you are required to present a valid extract from the Police's criminal record register before employment.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

The Food Unit belongs to Sector Municipal Development and is responsible for food operations within schools, preschools, and care. The operation consists of four production kitchens and five reception kitchens. We work closely together in an engaged team where collaboration, responsibility, and development are important parts of everyday life.
